 Making A Purchase

We accept the following method's of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Visa Delta, American Express (AMEX), Switch and Solo in payment for orders from within mainland United Kingdom.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on the 'Add to Cart' button to select items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. Items can be removed from the basket by pressing the 'View Cart' icon; additionally you can alter the quantity of items by choosing this option. After you have finished your selection, click on the 'Checkout' option and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.
At present we will not send orders outwith mainland United Kingdom (e.g Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and The Channel Islands). Should you wish to order an item from outwith mainland United Kingdom please e-mail/phone us, and we will deal with your request on an individual basis.

 Shipping and Handling

We have a very competitive new Postage and Packing price structure for deliveries within the UK mainland to save you money. All orders are delivered by UPS within 1-2 days of dispatch. A £2.50 shippng charge is applied to all orders with a total value below £100. For orders valued at over £100, the shipping charge is £3.99.
Orders can be delivered to any valid address, although the card holder's address must still be entered for credit card verification purposes. Please to try to ensure someone is able to sign for the package(s) as otherwise they cannot be delivered. If it is more convenient, feel free to use a work address for delivery. Order Tracking codes for use on the delivery service's websites are available on request. Summits are responsible for the loss of any dispatched goods in the postal system.

 Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Backordered items will not be charged until the moment they are shipped.

Summits Outdoor Gear uses industry standard SSL-encryption provided by a Thawte certificate (this can be verifyed on the checkout pages by clicking on you browsers 'Golden Padlock').
When placing your order you will be transferred to our SSL protected secure online payment domain for entering of credit card information. This data is sent over a secure link to our the server where it is further encrypted, before being downloaded to our systems. Card numbers are decrypted only after they reach our main computer. They are not held in clear text on any web server.

 Returns Policy

We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products are covered by our 30 day no quibble returns policy, if you return the product in its original packaging unused, and in pristine condition.
Our 30 day no quibble returns policy comes into effect one day after the customer has received the goods.
Please include a note with your name, address, telephone number, receipt, and reason for return. We will process your exchange/refund as soon as we receive it.
Please note we are only able to refund postage for faulty or defective goods.

Summits Outdoor Gear endeavor to acknowledge all customer complaints within 2 working days; it is highly possible that the customer will receive acknowledgement of a complaint within a shorter timescale. We promise to keep the customer fully informed during the complaints procedure as to when the complaint should be resolved.

Summits Outdoor Gear never discloses customer information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item and viewing of popup windows.
